The ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia, Inc. (ECNV) welcomes guest blogs from individuals interested in writing about disability-related topics. If you wish to write an article for ECNV’s blog, please try to limit your post size to 100-450 words. ECNV will consider larger posts if the topic is of significant importance, or unique content.

ECNV will review all posts for clarity of content, correct grammar, and correct spelling. Writers should support Information reported as fact with evidence. Writers will receive complete attribution with links back to their websites to foster additional traffic. Writers may include credited original or stock artwork, but no advertising, sponsorships, or other commercial information in their posts.

    OCTOBER IS NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION MONTH
    A Deserving Give Away of Life Saving Devices

    October is National Fire Prevention Month and because fire safety is so important to Silent Call Communications, we are giving away one complete fire safety kit! For eligibility, submit a true story telling us why you feel that a Silent Call Smoke Detector system would be a benefit to you or someone you know by telling us their story. To submit a story, E-mail your entry to Lisa@silentcall.com. The contest will run October 1, 2011 – November 30, 2011. The winner will be announced December 15, 2011. The story should briefly describe the person’s life and why they should be awarded a specialized fire detection alerting system.
