Mystery Rider Employment – Metrobus/Metrorail Customers Who Use a Wheelchair

September 11, 2012 at 3:02 pm Leave a comment

WMATA is looking for wheelchair users to participate in their “Mystery Rider” program. The “Mystery Rider” will board a bus or a train and ride a pre-assigned route, evaluating the service provided by the WMATA personnel encountered, the physical conditions of the environment and the quality of the experience. May require boarding and unboarding several times. Computer access is a must to complete one or more short questionnaires online after completing each assignment. “Mystery Riders” are compensated for their time as well as their fares. If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact Tim Qua at

The approximate number of hours depends on how many routes they are available for. Average routes can run anywhere between 2.5 hours to 4 hours. And each auditor roughly audits between 2-3 routes per week. We pay per hour and it averages between $20-$25 per hour.
