Can You Use Nearby Bus Stops?

May 1, 2012 at 4:27 pm Leave a comment

Arlington County and Metrobus want to know if a bus stop near
your home or destination (work/school/stores)
is not accessible to you.

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has a federal grant to improve bus stops for people with disabilities. Improvements will include concrete landing pads, accessible pathways to bus stops, benches and bus stop information displays.  Highest priority will be given to stops identified by transit riders with disabilities and stops located near frequent origins/destinations of current paratransit customers.

Please help us identify Metrobus stops within Arlington County, which in your opinion will allow persons with disabilities to access fixed route transit through such improvements.

Survey results will be collected until Thursday, May 10, 2012.
