TVWe need your help by participating in an important community needs assessment meeting that will affect how cable and cable related services are provided to us in the Fairfax County over the next fifteen years.

Fairfax County’s cable television franchise agreement with Cox Communications Northern Virginia is due to expire in June 2013.  As part of the cable television franchise renewal process specified in federal law, the Department of Cable and Consumer Services (DCCS) is conducting a community needs assessment. This needs assessment will include interviews with interested parties to gain information about the current and future cable-related needs and interests of the County and its residents.  You are receiving this email because we would like to have you or your organization participate in an interview of approximately one hour’s length regarding your  future needs for internal and external communications, connectivity, and use of access channels, including Fairfax County Government Channel 16, over the next five to fifteen years.

If you would like to schedule an interview or have further questions please contact:

Allan Hide (or you if possible!), Department of Cable and Consumer Services at 703-324-5980 or email him at allan.hide@fairfaxcounty.gov
