Important Dates – Tell state legislators about your needs!!

Last year the final budget approved by Virginia’s General Assembly contained some significant cuts in Medicaid Waivers and other services vital to the independence of Virginians with disabilities. An infusion of federal funds kept many cuts from going into effect this year, but FY 2012 budget could be another matter!
Gov. McDonnell is looking at ways to restructure and reform state programs in part to cut spending. Disability services are not guaranteed protection from cuts.
So, when state legislators hold local and regional hearings, it is very important for you to participate, speak out, and ask them not to cut the services, such as PAS, that you need everyday! Save these dates!!
